The theme of Cross Border Summit 2024 is titled “Planting Seeds & Building Streams”, as a follow on from Cross Border Summit 2023’s theme of “Open Border, New Beginnings”.

Planting Seeds
Ecommerce and cross border trade has been under massive restructuring. With the hype of investors and aggregators in the early 2020’s, a lot of rolling up and unrolling has happened. In Chiang Mai, Thailand, those who come know about the “smokey season” during the dry season where the crops are burnt and smoke is spread throughout the north of Thailand.
It is a very tough time.
But it fertilizes the soil, it allows the farmers to plant seeds faster and harvest faster.
We believe we are in the stage of ecommerce and cross border trade where the burning and the smoke has settled and we need to plant the seeds of the next wave of this industry.
At the Cross Border Summit 2024, expect to be inspired to plant new seeds in your business – new business expansion, new products, new markets, new team members. This is the stage of building for the next cycle.
Building Streams
There is still fragmentation in the international markets. We need to not just cross borders, but we need to build simple streams and connections to all these new markets.
